In this webinar, Nahom Gebre, Risk Management Attorney, and Nick Lopuszynski, Director of CNA Design Professional Liability Specialty program, familiarize firms with the sequence of events in a typical claim. They provide advice on how best to assist in defending the claim or negotiating a settlement to minimize the impact of the claim on the firm, client, and public. Having this knowledge can help design firms obtain a greater sense of control and reduce the stress of a claim and its impact on the firm’s professional life. Design professionals who have had lawsuits filed against their firms say they would have been less anxious if they had known more about what to expect during the claims handling process.
Nick Lopuszynski is a Director in the Design Professional Liability specialty program at CNA following his years as a practicing trial attorney in Chicago defending professionals and product designers and manufacturers as well as gaining experience in the insurance industry across multiple claim and risk management functions both nationally and multi-nationally. Nick leads a team of talented and experienced claim professionals focused on partnering with stakeholders to positively impact and obtain results, create solutions, solidify relationships, and build value for CNA's customers.
