NEW YORK, NY | June 10, 2025
Victor, a leading global managing general underwriter (MGU), today announced the launch of an environmental liability and on-site clean-up insurance program designed to protect US small businesses with underground and above ground storage tanks from losses resulting from pollutant releases.
Developed in collaboration with Aspen Insurance, a leading specialty insurance and reinsurance company, the storage tank liability program is available to brokers on a non-admitted basis through Victor’s Professional Liability for Architects and Engineers practice, and offers up to $5 million in limits for businesses in all US states and Washington, D.C. Coverage is delivered through Victor’s proprietary digital platform, V2 (V Squared).
“Storage tank liability insurance is highly complex and requires specialized knowledge,” said Kevin Collins, Architects and Engineers Practice Leader, Victor. “The Victor Storage Tank Liability program offers additional security, specialized underwriting expertise, and fast, easy access to coverage through V2 to support brokers and clients operating in this unique industry segment.”
Vanessa Cole, Senior Vice President and A&E Small Firms Program Manager, Victor, added: “With the Victor Storage Tank Liability program, small businesses can operate with confidence and peace of mind knowing they have added protection against costly cleanup and legal liabilities. The coverage also helps storage tank owners comply with environmental regulations.”
The US Environmental Protection Agency requires storage tank owners to pay for clean-up or cover third-party liability in the event of a leak. Costs of clean-up and liability can range widely, from as little as $10,000 to well over $1 million, depending on the size and impact of the release.
